Say Hello To A New Abbie Wyatt Photography | Hemel Hempstead
I have been thinking about changing my logo for a good few months, maybe even half a year. But it’s just one of those things that seem to take forever. What do I want? What do I want it to look like? What colours should I use? Or simply the main worry for me was people not recognising me anymore and just blending into the background. People remember me for my pink logo, it stands out and I continue the pink throughout my brand. I always feel that keeping everything on the same page is so important. For me, everything has to be continuous and flow well. To be a brand!
I’ve had my pink logo for a good few years but I have grown with my business over the last 6 years and I have been wanting to update it for a more grown up approach but also not going from one end to the other. I am very very very lucky that my Boyfriend is a Graphic Designer and he does it day in, day out. He know’s exactly what I need to do to build a brand and what elements go into that. I am so lucky that he does all the branding side of AWP for me. We spoke for a while about a logo and I just left him to come up with something that wouldn’t be very different from my pink logo, but like I just explained I wanted something a bit more grown up. He played around with a few different options, keeping the water colour and also taking it away. But I just love the light colour in the background. My work is very minimal but I loved that minimal splash of pastel colour. I also thought that if I kept a watercolour then I was more likely to be recognised.
After a few weeks of playing around with the logo, we just stopped. Everything came to a pause as life just gets so super busy and rebranding yourself really does take time. Having to remember everything that needs redesigning, re-printing and purchasing. Even down to the coasters you put your tea and coffee on in the studio have to be changed over. But I was so excited to have a new updated look and I’m so glad I have finally put it out there for everyone to see!
So once again Luke, you have made me the best logo ever and I’m forever sorry for being the worst design client ever! But a big thank you to him. He is such a big part of AWP and all the behind the scenes. I’m forever grateful!
So here we are, here’s a new Abbie Wyatt Photography:
