I’ve been so excited to finally talk about Spring/Summer after what’s felt like the LONGEST Autumn/Winter ever. Being in Lockdown over Winter has been hard.. hard for everyone. The days were short and the nights were super long and not forgetting the fact that it’s been so cold. But Spring is on the horizon, we’re slowly coming out of lockdown and hopefully going back to a new normal. I really does feel like there’s more hope in the air and stuff to look forward too.
Ashridge is one of my favourite places to do family shoots. When everything's green and the trees are full, it's just so beautiful. Capturing hugs, kisses and laughter is what my family sessions are all about. There's never any posing pressure, just simply having fun whilst creating new memories and being completely in the moment. But, we’re so lucky to live in an area surrounded by beautiful green spaces, giant parks and incredible forests to enjoy. Being outdoors gives your little ones more spaces to run around, be free and truly happy (which of course makes for THE best natural photos).
After the year we've all had being apart from our loved ones, this year more than ever.. family is so important. It's also the most perfect excuse to dress up, take the lockdown lounge wear off and put on that new shirt hanging in your wardrobe or purchase that pretty dress in your ASOS basket (surly I'm not the only one guilty of a huge pending ASOS basket! 😉). We will be talking about this lockdown period in years to come and remembering the time we were told to stay indoors! We will remember those moments we reconnected with people, hugged our loved ones for the first time in a year or shared a cup of tea with our nearest and dearest.
