Newborn Photography | Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Tring, Berkhamstead, Harpenden..

I thought I’d write up a blog post about Newborn Photography. I meet clients from all over Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and even as far as France (how cool is that) I honestly love meeting new people and having the opportunity to photograph your gorgeous little new arrival (or arrivals if you’re blessed with twins) is such an amazing thing!

It must be a bit overwhelming when typing into Google ‘local newborn photographers’ and seeing lists and lists of amazing photographers and not knowing who to choose, the only tip for you is to think about the style of photography you’re looking for! My style is very simple, natural and white. When I first started out in Newborn photography I was trying to figure out my style. I’ve always liked the phrase of ‘less is more’ and I wanted to portray that in my work. I tried adding a little bit of colour here and there with white to mix things up a bit but I wanted consistency and to create a timeless style within my work. I want you to be able to look back on your photos and they still be in fashion and still on display for many years to come. I like to keep things very minimal and that’s because the pure focus should be on your little one, not lots of colours, props and things that take away the main subject.

I have a small home studio which is located in Hemel Hempstead so a short drive from the local areas of St Albans, Tring, Berkhamstead, Harpenden, Pitstone, Bovingdon, Chipperfield, Watford etc. My studio is the perfect size for Newborns, Babies, Children, Families (no more then 5 as it’ll be a squeeze) and of course the Cake Smashes! I love having clients come to my home and it’s so lovely as sometimes visiting me is your first outing since having a baby! I’ll pop the kettle on whilst you can sit back and relax whilst I snap away at your teeny tiny baby. I love a chat too and always love hearing about your baby stories! During my sessions I let your baby lead the way, whether that is lots of nappy changing, milk breaks or simply because your baby needs a cuddle. I love capturing those milk drunk moments, they’re just so adorable.
